NYCDEP HP-238 CM – Hunts Point Wastewater Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF), New Anaerobic Digester Facilities

This ongoing $309 million construction project involves the construction of four 125-foot digester tanks and development of space for a fifth digester in the future. Construction includes a digester feed pump station, waste gas burners, an overhead gas pipe truss, and a below-grade equipment gallery.

Ota Ade Oni has been responsible for providing Community Outreach services as well as inspection services on this contract. As liaison we have worked to provide the highest level of comfort and stability possible to the area affected by construction. We have coordinated with Community Board 2 and the associated community to provide updates and scheduling for any areas that would be disrupted by construction events, and worked with them to establish solutions to minimize the impact of construction on their day-to-day lives.

Our inspection services have involved overseeing compliance with safety codes and building regulations, monitoring construction processes, and writing weekly and monthly inspection reports.
